As a nonprofit religious/educational organization incorporated in the District of Columbia and determined to be tax-exempt under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, all contributions to The Dietrich Bonhoeffer Institute (Inc.) are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

All financial matters are managed by a non-compensated duly elected board of governors and are regularly reported by a licensed accounting firm. Each year the organization files an IRS form 990 and undergoes a complete financial audit conducted by an external and independent CPA. Both the 990 and audit report are posted to this website and are accessible by the public.
